Questions

Quick answers.

How much does a skip bin cost?

It depends on size, what you're putting in it, how long you keep it and your suburb. Heavy waste like soil and concrete is priced differently to a general clean-out. Rather than quote a range that turns out wrong, we get you real prices from providers who actually service your area.

What size skip do I need?

As a rough guide, a 2m³ mini takes about eight wheelie bins worth, a 4m³ suits a single-room renovation, and 6m³ handles a full house declutter. If you're between sizes, say so on the form. Sizing up unnecessarily is the single most common way people overpay.

How long can I keep the skip?

Most providers allow around three to seven days as standard, with longer hire available. We'll confirm the hire period as part of your quote so there are no surprise extension fees.

Do I need a council permit?

If the skip sits on your own driveway or property, generally no. If it has to go on the road, nature strip or footpath, most councils require a permit. Tell us where it's going and we'll flag it before you book.

What can't go in a skip bin?

Asbestos, paint, chemicals, gas bottles, batteries, tyres and liquids are excluded almost everywhere, and they attract contamination charges if they turn up in the load. Mattresses and fridges are usually allowed for an extra fee. We'll go through it on the call.

Does MyBinQuote cost anything?

No. It's completely free. We may receive a referral fee from the provider, which never affects your price.

When will you call me?
